Jackman or thereabouts

In November, we're traveling from Bar Harbor to New Hampshire via 15 and 201. Would like to stay somewhere close to Moosehead lake. Have picked out Bayside Inn, any info on this place? How long will it take us from BH to Moosehead? Places to stop along the way?

Jackman is not on Moosehead Lake. It is west of Moosehead on Rte 6\15. I'm not familar with The Bayside Inn, but there are quite a few places in Greenville & some around Rockwood which are both right on the big lake.Jackman has some hotels & lodges. Be aware thar Nov. is deer hunting season in Maine so reservations in those areas would be wise as they are popular stays for hunters from out of state. Good Luck.

We love the Birches, a log cabin resort on Moosehead Lake in Rockwood.

Blair Hill Inn in Moosehead is the most perfect inn I've ever stayed in. GORGEOUS rooms, GREAT hosts, WONDERFUL setting. It's not on the coast -- it's up in the lake area of Maine, so it's particularly perfect for hunters and fishermen. We do neither of those things, but we do love an elegant inn. It was written up recently in Conde Nast's travel magazine, and I think it deserves all the credit they give it. What a place!
