Just asking - planning my own itinerary - (1) what about Salt Spring Island (one of the Gulf Islands), and (2) can someone translate the road closures for Mt. Rainier right around Grove of the Patriarchs? OP and I are sorta planning the same type of trip, around the same time, August.

WE spend 5 days in Sequim, WA as our 'base". We traveled easily to all of your destinations listed. We didn't have any children with us, but our favorite was the drive up to Hurricane Ridge. Enjoy
