Islip Airport to NYC

What is the best way to get to NYC from the airport in Islip? Train, which one? Or limo?

Thanks for any info!

There's a bus service that will take you to the Ronkonkoma Long Island Railroad station that will then take you into Penn Station on West 34th Street...I know the Hampton Jitney also offers some kind of service, but I don't have specifics...there's also a private limo service that's exclusive to MacArthur Airport but I can't remember the name. The Long Island Railroad is probably the most affordable.

take the shuttle from the airport to Ronkonkoma station on the Long Island Railroad. Gets you to Penn Station in less than 90 minutes, I believe.

Southwest Airlines' web site (www.southwest.com) has info on this. Click on the route map and then choose Islip.

Sheri - check out www.lirr.org, which is the Metropolitan Transportation Authority site, and gives you all sorts of info on Long Island and NYC transportation. You can get LIRR schedules too.
