island to island-plane or boat?

Going to Maui & BI next fall. Which is best-or are these both options-boat or plane?? What is the approximate cost of each that has been paid? Time not a big factor-going for 10 days. Thanks!!

I think the only boat option that tourists do are from Maui to Lanai, or cruise from Kauai to Niihau (but not sure you can get off boat at Niihau), everything else by plane.

Expect around $65 to $90 each way for plane, maybe higher depending on when you travel.
