Is this feesable?

Would it be feesable to check out our hotel in Santa Barbara(Tuesday 6th September)early drive to Universal Studios and then after visiting the park drive on up to Monterery for a 3 day visit. Is this to much in one day? It is isnt it!

I would say no. The trip from Universal to Monterey is pretty long with out traffic. Well over 5 hours. After waking up early and spending time at Universal, will you really want to take a 5+ hour drive?

If you are 18, this might be fun for you, but if you are a little older, I think you would have a much more enjoyable time by instead taking the drive up Highway 1 to Monterey--it is one of the most beautiful drives in the world.

Hi Allen,
Feasible, yes.
Recommended, No.
It will be at least a 2 1/2 hour drive from SB to Universal, maybe longer. Even if you leave SB early, you are going to hit early rush hour traffic in LA. Time at Universal, at least 3-4 hours, then to Monterey, 5 more hours minimum. I would find an alternate plan.

Thanks for your replies.
So its either skip Universal and take a nice slow drive up Highway 1 or go to Universal the day before(Labour day)
Al.
