Is the submarine very claustrophobic?

Is the submarine tour very claustrophobic? I am little scared of tight spaces. Not truly claustrophobic. What are good companies for this tour on Ohau? Thanks.

I'm claustrophobic and I personally would not do the boat tour. I would also not like being confined under the water. Would this be how you would feel, also?
How about a day cruise on a boat or other excursions? You may want to explore all of your touring options first.

Puppy love - I am claustrophobic, but I have gone on Atlantis 3 times & I was fine. There are porthole type windows all along both sides. If the tour is full, you will have a person on each side of you - no extra room. You really can't get up & move around, but I was so excited about everything I was seeing outside of the submarine, that the time went really fast, and I had no problems.

If you're referring to the tours that allow you to look at sea life up close and personal it depends on what you mean by "not truly" claustrophic. I can't do a closed MRI but I easily did a submarine tour in the Bahamas.

My mother is claustrophic and was concerned about taking the Atlantis trip on Maui, but she just reported in and she gave it rave reviews. She never mentioned once her claustrophia. I think liek a previous poster she was so excited about what she was seeing out the window that it never occurred to her that she was underwater in a small vessel.
