Is Napes beach "bikable"?

We have biked Hilton head beach, and more recently, Siesta Key Cresent Beach. Both are hard and flat and easy and enjoyable to bike. We might be going to Naples FL and wondered if that beach is also easy to bike? Some have too much angle, or too many shells and are not bike friendly.

No. The sand is soft, and there are inlets from time to time.

You can easily parallel the beach on paved roads, and you can get down to the beach and park your bike very easily, but you can't ride on the beach itself.

My wife and I have walked the entire beach from Delnor-Wiggins Pass to the inlet between the beach and Keewaydin Island over a period of several days. It was pleasant, though the last stretch is a fair walk because parking is restricted in the Port Royal-Gordon Drive area. It is fun because all beaches are public so you can walk right through -- and sit down and picnic -- on the beaches of incredible mansions.

I agree with Ackislander. I was in Naples in November. The sand is soft except for a very narrow area at the waters edge. I didn't see any bikes on the beach. Otherwise it was a very nice city to visit.
