Yes, I would like to figure out the transportation system in case we need it!
I don't think we'd have time to walk to Lincoln Park, as it's further than I thought, but if we do have time to visit it and I can figure out transportation, then maybe...!
Thanks for the tips on Millennium Park! Looking forward to seeing the Bean, too!

Just a big shout out THANKS for all the help with this trip!!! The Millenium Garage was great! Great location for our hotel, and good prices, and they DID prorate our 2nd day so our total was $43 for our day and a half.
We took the river taxi from the Willis Tower to Michigan Ave. Had wanted to take it to the Navy Pier but they weren't running there yesterday. Loved the ride, and was only $8 for the 3 of us! THANKS for telling me about it!
We ate at Giordano's twice (2 different locations!) and were in pizza pie heaven! Even brought a frozen one home to our son who thought he was missing out! I thought my husband was crazy when he said we should only get a small 10" pizza for the 3 of us, but he was right! We could barely eat it all!
The American Girl tea was lovely, though our daughter was sooo eager to go shop and get her new doll, she had a hard time enjoying the tea! She brought her 3 dolls to Chicago with her, but we only let her take 1 to the tea, but all she could think about was the new Rebecca she was going to get! Our waitress sang Happy Birthday to her which totally embarrassed her, but I thought the whole thing was so lovely. The food was yummy, but everyone here was right... it didn't stick to your ribs, but that was okay as we were eager to eat a pizza that evening.
We didn't get to see nearly as much of Chicago as I had hoped, but we hit the highlights and were happy... and DRY! I mention this because of the massive rain over the whole area both days, but it never rained when we were out!
Never hopped on any public transportation, but it was fascinating to see the L in the loop and walk under it!
Oh, and we did go up in the Hancock building to the Signature Lounge... our only sight of the Navy Pier as we never made it there. I completely forgot about the fireworks at Navy Pier Wednesday night, but I wonder if they even had them because it was so overcast and the clouds were very low.
Lots of homeless people. My husband gave money to the first 2 or 3 that asked, then after that he just said he couldn't! One was very friendly and told us all about the beautiful church across from American Girl, then finally asked for money. Many didn't have legs. All were very dirty. Sure makes you stop and think, especially as you're walking around with a big bag of $250 worth of American Girl stuff (all our daughter's birthday/odd jobs money, btw!).
Heard about the knife guy and shooting on State Street yesterday, but thankfully by the time we headed that direction things were over.
Wish we would have had more time to see more of the beautiful city. Already hoping to go back again. It was funny when we finally rolled back into Cincinnati at 3:00 am last night... it looked so puny! We have a whole new appreciation for "city" life!
Thanks again for everyone's help!
