Inn at Gulf Place, Seagrove

Has anyone stayed here? It looks very nice and they will rent for less than a week - a major consideration as we have only 4 nights.

What about beach access?

This is our first time to S. Walton area, so appreciate any information.

Thanks!

BTW -- I grew up in Austin -- wish I was still there!

I had tried to post earlier but something happened. I'll try again.

I'm not familiar with this particular unit but we love the 30A area. We rented a gorgeous new house in Seagrove during Spring Break. The owner assured me that the house was SOUTH of 30A and only a short walk to the beach. The house was SOUTH of 30A but we had to drive each time we went to the beach. I would suggest googling the location on a map just to be absolutely sure. I do find it odd that during high season they are willing to rent for less than a week.

Well, I was mistaken about the location. It's actually in Santa Rosa beach. Any info on this area?

I think there are fewer vacationers this summer --

All of the communities on scenic 30A are very close together (Seaside, Rosemary Beach, Watercolor, Dune Allen, Grayton Beach, Seagrove, Watersound, Santa Rosa, etc.). I would suggest contacting www.garrettreality.com. for advice. They represent lots of property on 30A and have been doing so for a long time.

Thanks DS - I've tried Garrett, but there's nothing available in our price range for our travel dates.

We're thinking we might as well stay in Destin. Love it there, and I'm finding some decent condos that will rent for less than a week.

Brookside, it's a nice place at the corner of 30-A and 393, a quick walk to the beach. It's west of Grayton Beach State Park, named one of the best sandy beaches in the US. If you google "beaches of South Walton" you will come up with plenty of leads. Any of the towns along 30-A are fine; you can't go wrong. You might also want to look at the website www.sowal.com. It has plenty of photos and videos of the area as well as information about events, shopping, and restaurants. You will have a great vacation~!
