Indianapolis-Hotel
Looking for a recommendation on a moderatly priced hotel in downtown Indianapolis. Going to visit friends that live on the east side (I believe) and thought we might prefer staying downtown to take advantage of nightlife/restaurants.

Debbie, I live south of Indianapolis a bit so I follow the Indy hotels as I use one occasionally. I don't know of a Wyndham in downtown Indy. When I look on Wyndham's website the only one they list is way up on the north side at Meridian Street and I-465.
Here's a list of hotels I'm aware of in downtown Indy with an approximate star rating. I list the general distance to Circle Centre mall because that's the heart of the downtown action.
I've been using www.biddingfortravel.com to help me with www.priceline.com and occasionally getting the 4 star Hyatt or Westin for $40 to $60 a night. I won't bid 3 star in Indy out of fear of getting the distant Doubletree.
