Ideas for anniv. getaway wknd in Florida

Looking for suggestions for a long weekend in Florida, preferably Gulf Coast, w/golf, beach and cocktails nearby or onsite. Travel dates are flexible - sometime between July and September. Just looking for some fun and relaxation together for our anniversary w/out the kids!! Thanks in advance for any suggestions/advice.

We really enjoyed Sanibel/Captiva Island. It's laid-back & relaxing, with as little or as much to do as you like. Golf,kayaking,shell-seeking,dolphin cruises, sunset cruises, etc. Not much nightlife, but you could drive into Ft Myers for that, if necessary.

I'm not sure what your budget is but you might want to look at the Don CeSar Resort on St. Pete Beach.

We love Surfside Resort in Destin. It is an older condo, but it is on beach and Seascape is a great golf complex adjoining the property. There is also a lounge on site. Mostly older adults, very few kids.

the Ritz carlton on the beach in naples sounds perfect for what you're looking for.
