I Love New York Tshirts

Hi. I am an Australian visiting New York City in November and would really love to know where I can buy an I Love New York tshirt from. Last time we visited NYC in Oct99 I bought one for $5 at Battery Park from a street seller but unfortunately its no longer in great condition. Is this the only place to go or do they sell them in shops anywhere? Any info on this would be most appreciated. Thanks. PS. I can't wait to get back to NYC - it's a fantastic city!

Not to worry. There are street vendors all over lower Manhattan who will be ready to sell you T shirts and other such. And for reasonable prices, too - tho if you don't try to dicker just a bit, I suspect you take the fun out of it for them.

Chinatown's Canal Street offers dozens if not hundreds of T-shirt vendors. After 9/11 I purchased a bunch of I Love NY T-shirts for $4 each.

Lots of street vendors and stores will be found in Times Square. Still around $5.

The top 3 most found things in NYC:

1. roaches
2. rats
3. I love NY t-shirts

Not to worry. They're everywhere.

I bought my I Love NY T-shirts (lots of friends and relatives who are always asking me to send them...) on the corner of Canal and Broadway(?) at 6/$10 and they have survived many washings. Look at the shirt labels before you buy--the ones that are made by GILDAN and Hanes Heavy Duty are of a much better quality than some of the others.

The going price in other parts of town is now about $4 or 3/$10.

What about for those who don't have a visit to NYC in the future? Any website we can use? What about any site that contributes any purchase toward the firemans fund or WTC fund? That would be great!
