...can someone tell me why the downtown area has a sewer smell?
I have visited in August and then again in Sept. and the smell seems to be everywhere. I do alot of walking and it is very noticable.
I don't remember that smell 2 yrs ago....

Should I call the Chicago Chamber of Commerce? The Mayor? The Waste Dept.?

I think this is an interesting concern. It isn't too pleassant to "dine" outside and smell the sewer smell while you are eating.....

If you are from Chicago, why don't you ante up?

This summer there have been a lot of beach closures along Lake Michigan due to high pollution levels. This is probably part of the answer.

I noticed too....I sure hope it can be fixed!
