I hate Bistro Bags!!

Who invented these things, and do they ever change?

Although I can't say I LIKE the Bistro Bags, they are definitely a LOT better than the crap that gets served on the planes in the usual way. I hate being told when to eat!

I agree. If you are talking about American's, it sure beats the things like pureed lasagna or mystery meat surprise they used to serve. Sure it isn't great dining, but a simple sandwich, packaged snacks, and usually an apple are fine with me. Although on one flight the piece of fruit was a whole orange. What in the world were they thinking? People were squirting each other all over the plane, and the trays must have ended up a sticky mess.

I'd choose a Bistro Bag any day over what I used to be served on the planes. 100% improvement IMO.

New York Times Sunday Magazine,Food section..describes the perfect meal to take on board for yourself, instead of the dreadful airplane food.It is an amusing and interesting article.
The perfectly awful airplane wines are mentioned

I too much prefer the bistro bags to the normal garbage airlines serve! I also find that the smell (when they heat up the mystery meals) makes me nauseous.

I hate Bistro Bags. They can't even hand them to you. They make you grab one yourself when you get on the plane.

I prefer to by something in the airport to take on board, like pizza or hot pretzel and then take the bag home for the kids. They still get excited over airplane nuts and snacks.

Atleast they still have drinks on board, that's what really matterss. Canned soda, coffee, etc...

Have had the breakfast deli bag from Delta and liked the convenience. Food was fine and 8 oz orange juice was cold. What I really liked was that I could eat it at a time that was convenient for me. I would choose this method over the microwaved mystery food.

I'd definitely vote for the "bistro bag"...you can eat at your own convenience and at least you know what you're eating...bon appetite...
