I give up on All Incusives

I have all but given up on All Inclusives from all that I have read here particularly on the Sandals Properties, but there does not seem to be alternatives that are affordable. Does anyone have ANY ideas on what we can do for a relaxing vacation without having to cook, where we can enjoy some nightlife and beach without breaking the bank. At this point I don't care where as long as it is warm in Jan.
Thanks
Betty

Go to skyauction.com, they have some real steals on all inclusives in the caribbean and mexico. Don't forget you are bidding per person, and taxes must be added on.

How about Punta Cana in the Dominican Republic. It is one of the least expensive Caribbean destinations overall. Not sure what you consider affordable, that varies person to person.

We stayed in downtown Playa del Carmen for $85.00 per night in high season this past March. Two blocks from the beach, good breakfast included, nice pool area, king bed. Lots of small hotels in Playa del Carmen or Isla Mujeres. Not quite as cheap, but certainly affordable are the beach towns in Belize. Jean

Thanks everyone for the tips!
Has anyone stayed at the Idle-a-while in Negril? If so please give me your opinions, what do you think?
Thanks
Betty

Betty,
Have you gone to www.negril.com to post on their message board? Idle has gotten good reviews from what I remember. We loved Negril when we were there in May.
