Rapid City to Salt Lake City via- national parks loop
We are flying into Rapid City early July having two weeks to get to Salt Lake City to return home. We would like to visit Mount Rushmore, Devils Tower. Yellowstone, down to Bryce/Zion and maybe as far as the north rim of the Grand Canyon. No kids, no reservations, no exact plans. Any suggestions?

With two weeks it can be done.
You won't be able to stay in Yellowstone with out reservations unless you camp. I would suggest one night in Cody before entering the park and then stay in West Yellowstone for a couple of nights to see the park.
We always camp so I have no idea what other lodging will be like.
Other wise all I might add is a litte detour to Torrey, Utah on the way down to Bryce. Nearby is Capitol Reef National Park and then take scenic Hwy 12 down to Bryce.

I would recommend putting together a draft itinerary with miles and time you want to spend at each stop. If you plan on spending a couple of days in/around SLC, you might be too tight for time to do justice to Southern Utah.
