I-80/Tahoe to Napa Valley Dining
We're driving from Soda Springs to Oakville tomorrow and would love to find a nice place for breakfast or brunch. We have to make the trek in decent time so can't to too far off the trail. Suggestions?

c_c_,
Is Rocklin half way enuff?
Venita Rhea's is pretty darn good.
Pretty easy on/off to I80.
Rocklin Rd exit (It's the exit right after Sierra College Blvd)....right on Rocklin Road. Right on Granite Dr and it's down past the Safeway/Long's and a Boat place....same side as Safeway.

I think they open at 7:00 a.m.
We'll wave to you as we're on our way up to Rainbow Lodge/Big Bend.

Glad you enjoyed it. We're due for a "big b'fast" outing there again soon.
When we first moved to this area, our house was where the Safeway currently sits and we had some horses and cattle on the property...
Ahhhhh...progress!
