Hudson valley-good and inexpensive hotel

Hi, I am planning to spend the weekend near Montgomery place. Does anybody know a good and clean, inexpensive hotel/motel/B&B?
Thanks!!

I forgot exactly where Montgomery Place is, so I don't know how close this will be but you might want to look into the Peekskill Inn. It is reasonably priced and has beautiful views of the Hudson.

Try this website:
www.hvnet.com
It's a most helpful website for the Hudson Valley.
As for the above posting, is someone looking for free advertising? It's at least the third plug for the motel on the forum in the past few days!

No! I am in no way affiliated w/ The Peekskill Inn and I do not receive any type of compensation from them. I have never stayed there but based on the pictures and descriptions I have seen it seems special b/c of it's views of the Hudson. It is AAA rated and the owner replied to my inquiries by email promptly and courteously.

Sorry! There are places much closer than Peekskill to Montgomery Place.
As far as accommodations near that site, contact the Dutchess County Tourism Promotion Agency (800-445-3131, Monday-Friday, 9-5. They have booklet (The Dutchess County Travel Guide) which lists a host of B&Bs and other places to stay.
If you're going this weekend, perhaps they can recommend which ones are the closest to Montgomery Place.
