Howard Johnsons at Penn Station

Has anyone stayed at the Howard Johnsons at Penn Station? If anyone has, we would appreciate some advice.

Which Penn Station? New York Penn Station, Newark Penn Station, Baltimore Penn Station?

Sorry for the confusion. I am talking about the New York city Howard Johnsons at Penn Station hotel.

If my memory serves me correctly, it is closer to Macy's/Herald Square on West 34th than to Penn Station.

Definitely not in the best area of Manhattan, to say the least. That whole area, Penn Station/Herald Square, is bad in my opinion. Surely you can find something using quikbook or priceline in a better NYC location.

I always say "Try the Red Roof Inn" on 32nd street! Newer property and sometimes have $99.00 Rates!
