How to get to Pac Bell??

We are coming in from out of town for some Giants games. We will be staying in the Fishermans Wharf area and was wondering what is the best way to get to/from the game? The games start at 7:15. Please be specific...Thanks.

mssav,

"Please be specific...Thanks."

That's about as specific as you can get. You can also take a cab. That is also specific.

I believe the 30 bus which goes to Pac Bell park also goes to the FW area so you could take that. Or you could take any of the buses that take you to Market Street and then the N lightrail train to Pac bell.

You could also take the F trolley car that runs around FW to Market and Embarcadero and transfer to the N which stops right in front of the Pac Bell. Or you could walk from Market along the Embarcadero to Pac Bell which is what we usually do.

Get the MUNI phone number (it's muni.com or muni.org), call them, tell them when, where from, where to, at what time, and they will tell you exactly how to get there. You did not say what day - weeekend or weekday.

From your post I can't say what would be more convenient for you - lines F, 10, 47, 30 - they all serve different Fisherman's Wharf areas.

mssav,

As other posters have pointed out, there are any number of ways to take public transit to get to the ball park.

My 2?:

Don't take a cab. Traffic often clogs around the ball park, you'll pay an expensive meter for sitting in traffic (cabs in SF are not particularly cheap).

DO take the F trolley around the embarcadero, dismbark at the foot of market street and transfer to the MUNI trolley that is running to PAC bell park. They are often labeled PAC BELL park but the throng of orange garbed people inside will tip you off.

If it's not too late... go the www.transitinfo.org and click on the trip planner. There are a lot of options for the best way to get toere from where you're staying (least walking, cheapest, etc.)
