How is Continental Airlines these days?

It's been years since I have flown Continental. How do they compare to the other airlines? (We are flying Cleveland-Cancun via Houston)

Pretty much the same as all the others. I fly mostly Continental and AA, and haven't had any problems to speak of. A lot of newer planes.

Used COntinental to Jackson Hole, Wyoming, and was pleasantly suprised that the airline still serves free food - as in sandwiches, for snacks, in addition to pretzel and beverages. Also, the airlone says bring your own earphone if you don't want to buy it onboard to see the movie.

Speaking of earphones, I saw one in the paper that filters out airline noise. Has anyone tried these?

You might just want to be aware that Continental has some pretty tight connection times out of their Houston hub. We flew recently from Acapulco to NY, and the connection was scheduled for 75 minutes, which includes the time you need to clear immigration, reclaim your checked luggage, go through customs, recheck your bag, go through a security check and make it to your gate in a fairly large airport.

Just doublecheck your connection time, especially if you intended to grab some food in Houston.

Otherwise Continental is fine. The seats are a bit tight, but then again, they are on most every other airline.

Flew Continental in November, Grand Rapids, Mi to PHX through Houston. Tight schedule, but doable! No problems with them. Things went smooth.

I am in their FF program and fly with them about 10x/year. I've rarely had any problems.
