I went to high school with a girl named Gabrielle Fodor, and she pronounced it foe-door like Quinty said.

Just take off the "F" and there you are, it rhymes! There's an official description somewhere in the web site.

Cut-and-paste (hope D. Mangin doesn't blow whistle on that) from main website:
"Let's start with the pronunciation: it rhymes with "motor" and it's the surname of our founder Eugene Fodor, who pioneered the concept of the modern guidebook."

It is pronounced FOE-doors. I used to pronounce it wrong until I saw an interview with the editor.
