How do I contact Fodors?
How do I e-mail/call the powers that be at Fodors? I know that it's been suggested that a seperate Hawaii board be added, but I would like to reinforce that request!! For pete's sake about 3/4 of the topics when I log on anymore are Hawaii..........PLEASE FODORS, ADD A HAWAII BOARD!!!! Thanks!!!

We could make this a little cyber-petition--after all, we know they read this board
Since I really have no inclination to travel to Hawaii, I would also love to see a Hawaii-only board. I bet people interested in Hawaii would like it, too--less scrolling through topics for ALL of us!

Right now, in the first 50 topics, there are 5 about Hawaii and 15 about California. Several years ago, Fodors tried having separate boards for Hawaii and other places. It was very unpopular and was quickly discontinued.
If you really want to contact Fodors, go to the home page and scroll down until you find "contact us", then click on it.

Are you saying my city San Francisco doesn't deserve a speacial board?
What about Las Vegas?
What about topics "help" or "where do I go"?
Cassidy, come back when you're feeling better, girlfriend! Or some day you can find yourself alone here.

Why not? If you want to know why not take a look at some of the specialty boards (other topics, for example) which have barely a few posts each day. Separating destinations only dilutes the readership and input.
For instance, I might have read a Hawaii board daily before my trip last month, but probably wouldn't bother with it now. When in fact I end up answering a couple specific questions about Waikiki and Honolulu each day on the U.S. board, with extremely up-to-date information.

Faina, Actually I DO read Other Topics now and then, that's why I know it's dead there. And (you are correct) the women who brought her own sheets even to 5-star hotels thread was very FUNNY. But that's about 6 months ago by now. I've tried to liven it up with participating, but to no avail. Same situation on Solo Travel.

That thread was right around the time as the classic "do you use your toothbrush after you drop it on the bathroom floor at the airport in Rome or do you go all weekend without brushing your teeth instead?"
... but I digress!

Last I checked Hawai`i was part of the U.S., and this is the U.S. boards, yeah?
I see more posts in the first 50 about Florida and California than about Hawai`i. Maybe we need to remove them from the U.S. boards too, especially since I have no interest in travelling to Florida? Maybe we should have separate boards for Italy and France on the Europe forum, since they seem to be be dominating there as well. Or maybe the amount of posts for a partuclar area reflects the interests of the posters?

Ohhh, mention the devil and he's here!
See, on the left side, about the list of posts... Solo travel!
I usually travel solo, but I don't want it to be a separate forum! I think Fodor's forcibly removed 3 or 4 posts and made it a forum. And nobody posted there since.

YEAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!
Thank goodness we could have our own Hawaii board because we all know those who go to Hawaii don't go anywhere else all year long.
Let me wipe the sarcasm off my terminal let me ask cassidy2'2 do you think your computer had one of those "Fodor's Moment's"?
I remember a few times awhile back hitting "refresh" and getting 99% Las Vegas threads.
AND....has the board been acting up today? I've been trying to dog pile on "The Mint Lady's" Kauai TR since about 4:00 without any luck.
North wind's a-blowin'!!!

Yes Kal, the board was acting up earlier. And no it was not my connection, all other websites came up quickly. But Fodors took forever and I could not even post. But all seems fine now. Let's do just blame it on the terrible wind we have had!
