Continental is the direct option. If you get something in the $300 to $400 you are doing well. Hobby to Jacksonville has one direct a day. At a glance, that rate was $500. Delta connection through Atlanta was $337 on a first try.

Our daughter is a SCAD student so this is her route. She flies Continental and the usual rate is $300-400 but now and then we get one under $300. Sometimes the rates are really expensive though, it was almost $500 in November. The direct flights are on small 3 passengers per row airplanes because they fly into the Savannah/Hilton Head Airport, much smaller than Bush/IAH or even Hobby in Houston. Good Luck

turista - they do fly real sized planes into SAV (our son is student at SCAD as well), but they have gotten smaller over the years he has been there (we fly BOS-Atlanta-SAV or BOS-Charlotte-SAV).
OP - while not a history, have you looked on kayak.com for current lowest fares on that route.
