Inn at the Ballpark is close and very popular. You can check out their website and see if it interests you.

Inn at the Ballpark is right across the street. I'd stay there if you looking for convenience. Also close to the light rail.

If you want to take in a good steak dinner, Vic & Anthony's gets good reviews.

There's a huge Hilton downtown called Hilton Americas by the convention center - they might have room there.

If you go to houstondowntown.com, you can see a list of all the hotels in the downtown area.

Other hotels within walking distances (i.e. 7-8 blocks) are:

Icon (Tripadvisor #3)
Four Seasons (#4)
Hilton Americas (#17)
Alden (Tripadvisor #21)
Magnolia (#22)
Inn at the Ballpark (#28)

Any of these should be pretty nice.

And there's also the Super 8.

Other Downtown hotels will be a little bit far for walking.

The Magnolia Hotel seems to get good reviews - check out their website and see what you think.
