Can anyone recommend a hotel in the North Beach area? Its 3 sisters taking a weekend girls trip. We aren't necessarily looking for the cheapest place on the block, but not the most expensive either. I can't seem to find much in the way of hotels in the neighborhood except The Boheme, which is booked. Any help is much appreciated!

You can't find any because there really aren't any. North Beach is a relatively small area bounded by Chinatown, Fisherman's Wharf and the Financial District, the latter two of which would have plenty of options.

Check out the delightful little Washington Square Inn facing the square (next to Moose's).

The Columbus Motor Inn is right at the edge of North Beach and is quite popular. It also has the benefit of free parking if you have a car.

Thanks so much for the info - I had a feeling that there weren't many in that specific area.

Columbus Motor Inn is a very comfortable place to stay. Tuscan Inn isn't a bad walk to North Beach.
