HOTELS IN MEDFORD OREGON

I will be visiting Medford Oregon in September and was considering staying at the Best Western Horizon. Is this a good hotel or should I consider staying at another hotel.

As far as I know there is no place special to stay in Medford. You might be better off in nearby Ashland.

I agree with Jim, go to Ashland. The Ashland Springs Hotel is very nice and we have stayed three times at the Plaza Suites which are very nice.

Also there is the Peerless restaurant in Ashland which is excellent. ***kim***

on a west coast trip 4 years ago, a few friends and i had a motel booked in medford, or. we drove from seattle, and stay in medford and than on to san francisco. we got off the exit at medford, and made an impromptu decision to drive on to san fransico!!! another 13 hours! medford isn't bad, it's just like jim said, there isn't any place 'special' to stay or to do. stay in a cute, nearby place.

Actually I meant to say the Rogue Regency Inn. It looks so nice on the website. Any information on it?

I have to go along with what others are saying, Rogue Regency IS a very nice hotel (probably the best in medford), but Medford is kinda hohum, just another city. Currently people are complaining about all the traffic in town. I live in Grants Pass and drive to Medford daily, and I would choose to stay in either Grants Pass, Jacksonvill or Ashland, depending on your budget! all three of these are more town than city, but with plenty to do and enjoy!

I'm getting a kick out of this thread. I too love Ashland and like Grant's Pass. I'm not too fond of Medford, but monthend is apparently looking for Medford. Maybe visiting friends there, maybe there for business.

When someone asks for a hotel in Peoria, do others so "don't go there, Chicago is nicer"?

So how about it, monthend, are you open to where you stay or is there a reason you said Medford?
