Hotels in Charlotte NC near Bobcats Arena

Would like 3 or 4 star hotel near arena. Also any other attractions nearby or in town we should see? We are going for a concert in January during the week.

The Omni or Marriott are right downtown, as well as accomodations like Best Western, Hampton Inn, etc.
Downtown Charlotte is easy to walk - if you'd like a reasonable restaurant with great food & nice atomosphere, try Harry & Jean's. We also enjoyed the brew at RI-RA Irish pub.

Bid on Priceline--you might get lucky. During the day there is a free trolley bus that goes around the downtown area. Lots of good restaurants in the downtown area.
What kinds of things do you like. There is the Mint Museum of Craft+Design downtown.Museum of the New South.Discovery Place.

The Dunhill is a nice non-chain hotel....Just walk along Tryon Street and you will see plenty of restaurants...Charlotte downtown is not that big so you can see everything by walking.
