Anyone heard of the Midtown Hotel, Boston? Is it clean and centrally located?

Have never heard of this hotel and "Midtown" is not a term used to describe parts of Boston - but, I have not heard of everything, so maybe someone else has heard of it.

Thanks for that great contribution, Gail! There certainly IS a Midtown Hotel, at 220 Huntington Avenue. They have a Web site at http://www.midtownhotel.com/. (Google is Great.)

You can use mapquest.com to see if they are sufficiently "centrally located" to your liking. And hopefully, someone who is familiar with the hotel itself will show up here to tell you about their personal experience.

The Midtown Hotel is in a very good location, but it is more for the budget traveler. If you're looking for a lot of amenities, you won't find them here. However for $139 per night for a room in a good location, which is includes free parking and cable tv, you can't beat the price. The hotel also has a pool.

Of course she can beat the price. A quick check of www.biddingfortrave.com shows that Priceline bidders routinely get 3 and 4-star hotels in Back Bay/Copley for less than that.

Jen, those prices shown on bidding for travel, don't include parking. And right now, its not very easy to get a great rate on Priceline for the 3 and 4 star hotels in Boston. $139 is a decent rate for Boston, including parking.

Leslie, your comment makes no sense. The only recent failure reported on biddingfortravel was someone who wanted a room for this current weekend, and was bidding on Thursday 5/23!

Since the OP didn't specify when she was looking for a room, your comment of "right now" doesn't make sense, either. The next two weekends are tied up with graduations, yet still people reported as recently as two weeks ago getting places for early June thru Priceline, including the 4-start Seaport Hotel for $100, and their parking rate is $23 for 24 hours.
