Hotel near Denver Pavilions

My husband and I are going to Denver for the night for his birthday (we live in Fort Collins) and want to stay somewhere within short walking distance to the Denver Pavilions area. Is the Westin Tabor Center reasonable? (Ok-so I like to wear cute but very uncomfortable shoes!) Any other suggestions for a 3 or 4 star on that end of 16th street mall? Thanks!

Most hotels in the downtown area are close it seems to me. You could bid on a 4* hotel downtown on Priceline.

The Westin Tabor Center is in a great location. It is maybe 6 or 7 blocks from The Pavilions, but don't forget that the free shuttle also runs the entire length of the 16th Street Mall. Their is a Marriot in the 700 block of 17th Street that might be a good option as well.

Ani,

I don't know what your budget is, however, if you don't mind staying a couple of blocks in the other direction(west)I would suggest the Hotel Teatro on 14th St. Located just across the street from the DCPA, the Teatro is a four-star property with nicely appointed rooms, some great views and Kevin Taylor--their 4-star restaurant.

I've gotten some great deals there by calling them and you'd only be two blocks from the 16th Street mall--where the Pavilions is located. Shuttle service on the mall is free and runs late so you could rest your feet if need be.

If the Teatro is out of your budget, there's also the Courtyard by Marriot right on the 16th Street mall. Just out of curiousity, why do you wish to be so close to the Pavillions?

Thanks for the replies-actually we stayed at the Teatro last time in Denver-it was nice! We really had a great time checking out Sevilla at the Pavilions last time we were in town...and wanted to explore that area a little more but I guess its not a necessity. I am considering doing what Gretchen suggested and Pricelining a 4 star downtown...the location really doesn't matter that much as long as the shuttle runs! We also like being in Lodo soooo...
