Hotel in Seattle Washington for two nights
Does anyone know of any good hotels moderately priced in Seattle? TR and I will be traveling from Vancouver to Seattle. We are staying two nights in Seattle before our trip back to NY.

There is a group of hotels on the S. Shore of Lake Union, on the north side of downtown Seattle. There is a Residence Inn, a Silver Cloud and another I cannot recall. All marina view. A group of restaurants across the street. A short trip to downtown. Hope the prices are reasonable when you are visiting.

If you want to stay downtown, the Mayflower Park hotel is a good hotel that is moderately priced for downtown Seattle--around $200 this summer and probably into September.
If you can let us know your budget and when you'll be traveling, that would make it easier to tailor any recommendations.

central downtown: Mayflower Park, Hotel Andra, Hotel Max
If you need cheap, also downtown, 8th Ave Inn, 6th Ave Inn, La Quinta.
Alternative-ish places: Ace Hotel or Moore Hotel.
Also loads of B&B's available. On Capitol Hill there are several converted mansions renting rooms for $135/night.

Sorry it took so long to get back to everyone! Wasn't home and was without a computer for a couple of nights
Thanks for your suggestions will look into them all. We are not going until June 2008, (May 29th to June 14th) but plan ahead due to timeshares. We are flying into Portland, Or, staying two nights to visit friends, driving to Newport (have a timeshare for a week). Leaving Newport Friday 6/6 staying one night in Astoria (Cannery Pier Hotel) 6/7 driving to Vancouver staying 5 nights (another timeshare) driving (due to airline complications) to Seattle (want to see the underground city)and staying 2 nights before departing for home (N.Y.).
TR checked out a Best Western Pioneer Square Hotel in downtown (didn't want to spend more than $200 per night), but reviews were really mixed!
Does anyone have any other suggestions on what not to miss while we are in these areas?
Thanks for your help!

Just rtned from VAncouver Canada. BE careful about rental cars & driving over teh border. Recently some rental car co are not allowing over teh border US Canada and vice versa transit. They know too as they track thru the rental car GPS system...
I will place a trip report on Canada Forum when I can..
