Hotel in Myrtle Beach
Can anyone recommend a hotel on the beach in Myrtle Beach? We're going over Memorial Day weekend. Just two adults, so if you know of any kid-unfriendly hotels, that would be even better. Thanks!

the Marriott at Grande Dunes is nicely located away from all the college age action which will be heavy at that time. It is an ongoing senior week at the start of summer vacation for all those college kids and it gets a bit wild in the main Myrtle Beach area.
Although this resort has excellent pools and easy accessibility to the beach I would imagine there will still be a fair amount of kids there.
We were there later in June and really enjoyed it, we found it very relaxing despite a reasonable number of children around. We might be less likely to be annoyed by kids as we are both teachers and have learned over many years not to overreact to ill-behaving children or we would have gone stir crazy long ago.

Just wanted to let you know I've used www.vbro.com for the last ten years and it has worked very well for me. The cool part is I'm paying hotel prices for a condo.
The key to VBRO is to ask lots of questions, get current pictures and talk to the owner on the phone.
We're two adults also and my current favorite is in North Myrtle Beach off Shore Drive. http://www.vrbo.com/62645

There are two bike weeks to contend with: one in early to mid-May, centered around Myrtle Beach and spilling south toward Murrells Inlet.
The other is centered around North Myrtle Beach (Atlantic Beach actually), and occurs over Memorial Day weekend.
You are wise to have chosen Litchfield!
