Hot Hot Hot???

What is the weather really like in NY at the moment. Myself and 2 girl friends are coming shopping tommorrow morning from London and we want to ship till we drop. Don't want it too hot - but would be nice to get the legs out as they haven't seen daylight in a while in the UK!

Doing the same thing in May (from the UK) - If you get the time, it would be nice if you could file a trip report - especially what shops/districts are best?1

Have a great time

Sally, we had a mini-heat wave last week that hit 90 degrees, but the normal high for this time of year is about 60, and April is a notoriously "showery" month. So don't blame yourself.

I was in NY last September/October. Weather was wonderful for that time of year, up in the 80s, wandered around in T shirt and shorts (typical tourist, stuck out like a sore thumb), but as you say we don't see much of the sun here in London. Anyway, try to get out to Woodbury Common, designer outlet, we took a bus from the Port Authority Terminal I think it is on 8th Ave (West) and is about 1 hours drive, but amazing bargains on all the top names and a really nice day out too. I also loved the shops around Soho and Greenwich Village. I wouldn't bother too much with the big stores - Macy's, Bloomingdales etc, they seemed just like Selfridges and John Lewis to me. I loved New York, hope you do too.
