Hospitality Suites-NYC: Any recent experiences
We stayed at this Hospitality Suites property (49th/3d) several years ago. It was an excellent value, a one-bedroom apt with complete kitchen (incl d/w). It was spacious, clean and we liked it very much. Now, wanting to recommend it to a friend, my net search would seem to indicate that it's been taken over by Best Western. Has anyone been here recently - I'd like to know if it's still worth consideration. Thanks! (I think the same company that used to have this also ran something called the RCA Apartments??)

There's one very recent good review on tripadvisor under the Best Western name
http://www.tripadvisor.com/ShowUserR..._New_York.html
and 4 more under just the Hospitality name
http://www.tripadvisor.com/Hotel_Rev..._New_York.html
All sound fine.
Just a heads up, there are now many apt style hotels all over the city. Don't know how the prices compare. Affinia.com is one company that gets consistently good reviews.Their nearest place to this would be Affinia Fifty previously called Plaza Fifty (for reviews on tripadvisor) on 50 st and about 3rd ave. The Kimberly is another place in this same neighborhood.

McLaurie, just a note about Affinia. I contacted them regarding my one month stay, and they did quote me a special price -- the lowest price for a one month stay in ANY of their one bedroom apartments was $9,600 dollars plus. It was $269 a night plus taxes and no discount for a one month stay, unless that was the discounted per night price!

I haven't read April posters question (yet
) but the RCA apts originally mentioned is probably the Radio City Apartments. (radiocityapartments.com)
Here are some other suite style hotels in the city
Murray Hill Suites, the Salisbury, the San Carlos, the Kimberly, the Beacon, the Milburn, Radio City Apartments, the Blakely. the Helmsley Carlton, the Bedford, the Lombardy, the Carnegie Suites and the Buckingham.
All should be reviewed on tripadvisor.
