I did the ride into Bryce Canyon with Canyon Trail Rides in May; it was one of the highlights of my trip. They leave right from near the lodge. Bryce is unbelievable scenery, seeing from down in the canyon is unforgettable, but I am glad the mule was the one walking back up!(There were horses and mules, the guides matched us up with an animal based on experience, etc.)The cowboy guides really watched out for us, and were quite entertaining.

Hi Jedi,
I haven't done the ride down into Bryce Canyon, as I usually prefer to hike there. I have done a couple of different rides arranged through Ruby's, the large motel just outside the park.
One was the Red Canyon ride and was very nice. A better ride, if you are a serious rider, is the all day ride. You trailer out to an area north of Bryce and ride up to a high mountain summit. This is a long day and a ride for experienced riders. Scenery and variety is awesome. Nice horses too.
Haven't ridden around Capitol Reef, yet.
Have fun!
