Horseback Gettysburg battlefield tour
I've heard that the best way to see the battlefield in Gettysburg is to take the horseback tour? I would love to know more...how long, how much, how old for kids..etc???

A horseback tour sounds like a great idea!
When we were there a few years ago, you could hire a guide who would ride in your car with you and give you a personalized tour of the battlefield. We didn't have the money to do that, but we did listen in a couple of times when we were stopped at a place where one was speaking. ;-) The two I heard seemed to know their stuff and were very interesting.

If you like riding horses, sounds great. We don't so opted for the purchased audio tour (CD or cassette and you listen to it in your car while self-touring).
It was great for us because we had 2 kids with us and could take lunch, bathroom or boredom breaks when we wanted.
