Suze, the latest figures I've seen are $9 per person one way OR $15 round-trip per person for the shuttle. I guess you'd just have to compare at the time. Right now, I'm going by one of the Hawaiian government help sites ...
It figures a shuttle would be cheaper, overall, because they do several pick-ups, but we didn't mind that.

I agree it saves some money.
For me, looking at the overall cost of a vacation, there are other places I would rather economize. When I arrive Honolulu airport I want to get to my hotel the fastest way possible and get the vacation started!
That said when I go alone I have suffered thru the shuttle process because then the savings is more significant.

Well there you are Billy Boy...started wondering if New Years partying got to ya.
Don't think for a second that i didn't WANT to stay there...but alas, common Texan sense occasionally prevails. I think we'll do the Pink Palace again...nice compromise. How are those youngsters...ready to go back to school?????? Good hearing from you again...GO TECH!!!! But poor University of Hawaii; they are really struggling tonight...but I'm rooting for them Auntie!!!!!!

Oh, man!!! Don't even mention the game!! It's been very painful to watch. The whole town is shut down today because everyone is either in NOLA or at home watching the game. We still support our boys despite the outcome.....we're very proud that they made it this far!

Since you are eating at Duke's, I would stay at the hotel where Duke's is, an Outrigger, I believe. Or at the Sheraton next door, or just down a little bit at the Waikiki Marriott. We stayed at The Prince and it's a little closer to the airport than some of the others.
visormom, do you know iamq well enough to call him Billy Boy?
