My in-laws have decided that it is much more fun to spend their money now rather than leave it to the kids, so they sponsor annual family reunions. This year is Honolulu, where my FIL grew up. There will be thirteen of us. There's been wonderful suggestions for restaurants for couples, but I need some suggestions for the whole group. We prefer to sit at the same large table. Any suggestions for the $20-30 per person range and one nice meal in the $40-60pp range?

Off the top of my head, here are places where I had group tables recently:
Side Street Inn for a local style dinner,
Ciao Mein for fancy Chinese- Italian fusion
Legends in Chinatown Dim sum or traditional Chinese
Halekulani Hotel (the casual restaurant, not La Mer)will make a table that big for you with a view of the beach.Dinner would be a splurge, but lunch is reasonable.
Town in Kaimuki will make big tables with advance reservations.
Hawaii Prince would be another nice splurge for their seafood buffet.
Sorabol Korean restaurant or Yakiniku Seoul Garden will both give you a room for a party that size.
Willows restaurant is known for group meals- baby showers, birthday dinners, etc.

Makino Chaya in Aloha Tower Marketplace.

In addition to Makino Chaya at Aloha Tower Marketplace, you can also get harborfront seating at Don Ho's Island Grill or Gordon Biersch. Dim sum is available at Hong Kong Harbor View. For a nice dinner, you can get an area at Chai's Island Bistro.

I lurve Side Street Inn!

Makino chaya is a good choice too! It is a sushi/Japanese/salad bar kind of place with a japanese accent. Part buffet style, part cook-em-while- you- wait food stations.

Everyone can be happy getting what they want, and you get to wander Aloha Tower Mktplace before or after your meal.
