The Tiki Bar & Grill at Aston Waikiki Beach was pretty fun on a Friday night for snacks, drinks and live music..great roasted pork nachos. Haven't done any real bar hopping on Oahu so can't comment much on the others.

I'm not sure if you can play pool there, but the Kona Brewery in Hawaii Kai has good beer and great pizza. And if you like dive bars (and I mean hole-in-the-wall places, not SCUBA hangouts), I loved Capt. Zack's in the International Marketplace. I'm trying really hard to remember the name of it, but there's also a fun bar in Hawaii Kai between Safeway and Longs, right next to Cha Cha Cha.
