I live just 8 miles north of Boston and can tell you that you would love coming up to the area for your honeymoon. July is often just beautiful, but we can get our share of humidity during a hot spell, but it doesn't compare to the humidity south of here.

I also agree with using Boston as a starting point. The hotel recommendations you received were on the money.

Dreamer2's reponses were also dead-on. I have stayed in a number of those spots over the years and agree. I'll also second the Mount Washington Hotel. I've stayed there many times over the years and I know you won't be disappointed.

The only thing I saw missing was a trip to Martha's Vineyard. IF you go, the Charlotte Inn in Edgartown is the #1 place to stay for romance and elegance in the heart of Edgartown. The vineyard also has some beautiful more remote locations (as remote as a 20 sq. mile island can get anyway) so if you are inclined, the Outermost Inn in Gay Head/Aquinnah or the Beach Plum Inn and Menemsha are my favorites.

I am happy to scout anything out for you...just jot down your itinerary draft and I'll respond.
Best of luck!
