I went to your web site. And I guess it takes all kinds. But somehow this description really turns me off.
(Quoted from the web site): "It will be like nothing Central Florida has seen before; just minutes from Orlando's most popular tourist attractions, the greatest landmarks of biblical Jerusalem and its surroundings—from the magnificient façade of Jerusalem's revered "Herodian Temple" to the limestone caves of Qumran —will soon be rising. These and other unforgettable sights will comprise The Holy Land Experience™, an evocative "living museum" where visitors will feel as though they have been transported to a time and place straight out of history."
And they said Las Vegas was cras! Just my opinion, and you have a right to differ, but some things should remain holy (no pun intended), IMHO.

Doesn't anyone remember the episode of The Simpsons when Ned built a religious theme park called "Praiseland" after finding a sketch his dead wife designed? Everyone was having visions and religious posturing after kneeling in front of the huge statute of Maude (the dead wife)...turns out they were all high from a gas leak.
This place sounds like Ashcroft's wet dream....

I can't wait to try the Jaffa Hot Dog or the Goliath Burger.
Who says America isn't the greatest nation on Earth? Second Amendment, cheapest gas, and the flat out best copy of Golgotha going. Damn, but we're great! (Pardon my French.)

What is interesting on the web site is how they describe the whole spritual experience in what you imagine are hushed tones that are both awestruck and reverent. Then you look to the left for other pages and you come across the "Ticketing and Pricing" buttons. Well that kind of blows.

As a christian I am offended by this theme park. Of course it is America and freedom does ring, however, it has drawn a lot of criticism from the Jewish community and it seems.... rightfully so. The theme park is owned and operated by Zion's Hope. An organization headed by a Rev. Rosenthal who converted from Judaism to Christianity and seems to want to use this park for proselytizing. See: http://www.tfmc.us/html/themepark.html

Well what do you think he'd want to do? Geez how obvious. What other possible reason would he want to open it for? Next you'll say that you have discovered that churches use their privately funded buildings for proselytizing. Do you imagine that visitors don't already knnow this before they arrive? Your attitude is akin to being shocked at seeing Mickey and Minnie at Disney World.

I checked out their website and found it amusing and interesting, but mostly amusing...there's a photograph of the president of the park, Mr. Rosenthal, that made me think of Walt Disney, although he doesn't look like him...anyway, how about coming up with ideas for rides and attractions...such as...Noah's Ark where you board 2 by 2 up a wooden plank to experience gale force winds and monsoon rains as you relive what it must have been like for the original occupants...for the kiddies they could have the No Room at the Inn Donkey Rides which could lead to a petting zoo of barnyard animals...for arts and crafts fans they could have an area where guests can carve out their own Ten Commandments tablet...live action shows depicting what really happened between Caine and Abel...shopping at the Three Kings Gift Shop and eating at the Last Supper Restaurant...the park could also be available for weddings (theme or otherwise) and turning water into wine could be an option at an additional charge...
