The Magic Castle Hotel is on Franklin, at the borttom of the hill; the Hollywood Hills Hotel is next to Yamashiros, up at the top of the hill.

The Magic Castle Hotel is an old mansion built around the turn of the last century. It was remodeled in the late nineties. The Hollywood Hills Hotel is much newer and I have never been in it. But having spent many a night drinking/dining at Yamasiro, I Will say that he view from the top is spectacuar. I'd call their reservations line and ask them the difference between the rooms at the two. They are both owned by th Glover family, the owners of Yamashiro. (800) 741-4915

The Magic Castle is an old building where they have a restaurant and the shows, but no one stays there. The Magic Castle Hotel is located next door and the rooms there are nice, all suites. I always recommend this hotel to family and friends.

A footnote, the Hollywood Hills Hotel is a Best Western Hotel located further east on Franklin Avenue.

No, the Best Western Hollywood Hills is NOT the Hollywood Hills Hotel. The HHH is privately owned by ther Glover family and is physically located on eitther side of Sycamore, on the way up to Yamashiro. It should not be confused with the Bets Western Hollywood Hills down on Franklin

Best Western
Hollywood Hills Hotel
6141 Franklin Avenue, Hollywood, California, United States, 90028

Look on Best Western's website and you will see that this is what they call their hotel near Argyle. I've never heard of any other Hollywood Hills Hotel. The Magic Castle Hotel may have formerly been called the Hollywood Hills Hotel, but it is not now, nor has not been in years. I lived 3 blocks from there for years and have friends and family that frequently stay there.

They are two different properties. Drive up Sycamore towards Yamashiro and you will see the Hollywood Hills Hotel. It's been there fopr a while.
Yamashiro, The Magic Castle Hotel and The Hollywood Hills Hotel are al owned by the Glover family, who originally pruchassed and restored the Yamashiro mansion and surrounding estate property.

Well, I believe that there may be another Hollywood Hills Hotel after looking at the Magic Castle Hotel's website

http://www.magiccastlehotel.com/mch/mch.html

http://www.hollywoodhillshotel.com/hhh/hhh.html

It looks like there is another property that I wasn't even aware existed.

So I believe the correct answer is they are 2 separate hotels. My mistake.
My friends always stay at the Magic Castle Hotel.
