Hollywood, Florida
I am lookinmg at various accomadations in Hollywood, Florida. Some properties claim that they are on the Boardwalk, and some call it the Broadwalk. Which is it, Boardwalk or Broadwalk?
Also, I understand that the Broadwalk/Boarwalk is three miles long. Is there a particular part where the bars and restaurants are located, or can they be found throughout? If they are for the entire length, is there a "hot" area where a cluster of establishments can be found. A landmark would be helpful.

It is called The Broadwalk I'm guessing because it is so wide. Go to

Not sure the best area but we stay on the south end. I think, it is the prettiest beach in Florida.

It used to be a road next to the beach and they shut it down long ago to make it a walkway with the beach on one side and shops, bars and restaurants on the other side. The south end, closer to Hollywood Blvd is nice, but quiet. The north end is not quite as quiet, and the middle section is where most of the touristy places are located. There's a bandshell along the walkway with a schedule posted nearby. You might catch some outside entertainment. I love going the Hollywood Beach for a stroll at night. It's lovely. I'll check into some places to stay and post some suggestions. There are loads of little motels in the area, along with some chains. Which area are you looking at for accommodations?

Here are some suggestions for places to stay:
Under $100/nt:
Hollywood Beach Inn
Holiday Inn Hollywood Beach
Over $200: Westin Diplomat Resort
The Westin Diplomat is not near the area of the Broadwalk I previously described and I haven't been to this area in years. However, it's a new hotel in an area of condos and hotels right on the beach.
There are loads of small independently owned motels to chose from, too. Some are seasonal rentals and some are daily/weekley rentals.
If you stay in the area between Hollywood Blvd and Sheridan Street, you'll be in the area I've mentioned before.
Have fun planning your vacation!

Thanks for the info Heartburn. I want to be able to have a few libations without having to get into my car. That is why I want to stay on or within a few blocks of the Broadwalk. I'll check out the places that you suggested plus a few more. Is the Westin on the Broadwalk?
