I enjoyed it but have had bad experiences at other hiltons when they are booked to capacity. If you are visiting in summer there is a good possiblity that this could be a problem here to so be wear

We stayed there last October and loved it. It is an older property but thoroughly enjoyable. I don't know about crowds. It was quite empty in October when travel was down everywhere.

Gotta laugh at Helen's reply, "it's an older property." We stayed there when it was new in 1993 (and a hyatt at the time.) Old is certainly getting younger all the time.

Regarding the property: great if you are traveling with kids. If you are not I'd forgo the crowds, the somewhat overused facilities, and the dolphin program with it's imported Atlantic Bottlenose Dolphins for a quieter, more elegant resort on the Kohala Coast: the Mauna Kea, the Hapuna Beach Resort... if your budget allows: the Four Seasons.
