hilton head, mid-august, college kids
me and a few of my friends in college (~20 yrs old) are thinking of going to hilton head this august. i've read of mostly families and older couples going, so i was wondering how we would find it. i think we're looking for more of a relaxed scene, which HH seems like it has, but what about the nightlife? if we want to party there, what's it gonna be like? how about other college-age kids...are there any? thanks for any info,
kevin

Back in the mid 90's you could find some raucous clubs on HH, but lately, I have not been able to find anything. It's possible that as I advance further into my 30's, the college kids are successfully hiding from the old ladies, but I have heard that everyone just goes to Charleston to dance.
Oh, and back in the day, nothing much happened until after 11:00. Good Luck, you can always go to a hotel bar and enjoy watching the elderly shaggers.

Kevin, HH is a great place. Of course there are the activities ~ golf, fishing, kayaking, beaching it, parasailing and skiing. I imagine if you check into the sports stuff here those cats can guide you to fun going on away from the 'family' folk. If you can take your bikes with you but rentals are all over the place of course. M

in light of that recent thread, i'd just like to say thanks for your replies
i think me and my friends were going to go through islandgetaway.com to get a villa. how early should we be booking reservations? do these places go quickly? it's cold and rainy here in IL. can't wait to go.
