HIlton Head...Just returned!

Hilton Head is always beautiful...but we had a great trip...it is only 4 hours from Atlanta. We went to 2-11 Park...AWESOME! They had fabulous fried lobster tails, a fried rock shrimp taco, and a seared tuna with a curried pasta and my friend had a great new york srip covered with crab, spinach, and goat cheese! They have quite a wine list, about 400 bottles and many choices by the glass. We also went to a Japenese place that served cooked as well as excellent sushi called Hinoki. We stayed in Palmetto Dunes and were amazed at the great rates we got at the Hilton. Visit it, you'll love it.

Visited Hilton Head, and found that although it had supreme golf and tennis facilities...found it to be very planned community with little actual culture. Planned, gated communities, and new development.
Where do the locals go to eat ?
Where's the town center for walking at night ?
Security, gates, and planned community living are the hallmarks of this place. My suggestion; go to the Outer Banks in NC.

Chris: I went to the Outer Banks about 4 years ago - where was the culture there? I honestly found it boring.

Would you be willing to share your tab at 2-11 Park? It sounds delicious. Also, I'm not familiar with this restaurant and not clear if it's actually in HH or Atlanta.
