I have found Park Central with a fare of $169 and the airline fares are no cheaper than $209. Do you guys recommend this hotel? Are there any cheaper flights?

I haven't stayed there, but the reviews on Trip Advisor aren't too good (for what it's worth). Maybe someone here who has stayed at the Park Central recently can comment.

Do I remember that you live in Miami area? Have you checked going out of Ft. Lauderdale. I just looked a couple days ago and there were tons of non stop dates available through December for American from FLL to LGA. The prices were mainly around $139 including all taxes. Some others were about $155 including all taxes. I know they always charge more going out of Miami, when I'd normally be glad to pay more to avoid Miami airport.

The Park Central gets a lot of bad comments, mainly about dowdy and worn down rooms, but the location can't be beat if you want theatre district and restaurants, and some reports claim it's "not so bad as most say it is".

You really need to tell us details like when you're going and where from!

I don't recommend the hotel but hotel prices this fall are through the roof. If the trip is soon, look on travelzoo.com for specials. The Belvedere is a popular budget hotel. Look on crshotels.com for prices. If you're flying from se Fla. you should be able to find a better fare too. JetBlue, Spirit, etc.

$209 is a great fare for MIA-LGA and I don't think you'll find it much cheaper especially if that includes taxes. I've been searching for months for CHS-LGA or Newark and finally found $214.

Fall is expensive. You've found as cheap flights and hotel as you are probably going to find.

Also you might want to check www.hotels.com. YOu can see the rates, location and amenities at a quick glance. I have found it to be really helpful when I have traveled recently.
