Hi from Sacramento GTG!

Thirteen of us are sitting around a long table at Pizza Rock in downtown Sacramento having scrumptious pizzas and libations.

Kal, Toedtoes, MichelleY, Suzie, Betsy, Shanti, moi, and assorted SOs/spouses. Having a GREAT time - wish you were here

If we (responsible Fodorites) had know in advance, we'd have alerted the restaurant management! No dancing on the tables janisj!

Hey, how come I did not hear about this?? I would have come. I'm hurt.

Instead I was at Cielo Winery for a free concert. Drinking their wine of course.

Oops - sorry

No, it wasn't secret. Sort of just grew semi-last minute out of this thread. http://www.fodors.com/community/unit...ant-update.cfm

We'll have to plan another GTG for the Sac area . . .

Great gathering--good food and drink and good conversation all around the table. You Sac folks sure know how to party! Reporting that Janis did not dance on the table (at least while I was there). This was sort of a last minute GTG, so don't feel left out if you didn't get the word.

Really? All of you seem like long time posters- enough to know we would not look for a gtg in a random restaurant thread.

BarbAnn...BIG apologies.

I need to get a Sac area GTG e-mail list together. Memory fading-g-g-g-g-g.

newtome....We cut off invites to Fodorites registered Jan '13 and older.

logandog...it was so good if you want to meet up around 10pm, I'm all over it!

Seriously - you either post or you don't. This is why I spend most of my time on flyertalk and not here. On FT a gtg is open to all or none.

Rude bunch of folks if you ask me.

Kal was teasing when he posted >>newtome....We cut off invites to Fodorites registered Jan '13 and older<< (He obviously looked at your profile and saw you joined in Feb).

No one excluded you or anyone else. Fodors GTGs range from big formal groups planned for months to one or two folks who just happen to be visiting the same city at the same times. There are no 'rules'.

If anyone was being 'secretive' they wouldn't have posted on the forums at all. This was not a pre-planned GTG - Betsy was in town for work and asked about restaurants. Some of us arranged to meet up. Some of them contacted other Fodorites they happen to know. Honest - it wasn't some super secret plot to omit anyone.

Hi Kal- I remember a lovely evening with you and your wife and my daughter at Hard Rock-

She is in Campbell now so never get to Sacramento anymore- sounds like you had fun!

We obviously disagree. Bragging to say hello from a GTG to which no one except a select few ware invited is rude.

It's all rather like talking about a party with someone who wasn't invited--a bit rude.
