Hi from Sacramento GTG!
 

Thirteen of us are sitting around a long table at Pizza Rock in downtown Sacramento having scrumptious pizzas and libations.

Kal, Toedtoes, MichelleY, Suzie, Betsy, Shanti, moi, and assorted SOs/spouses. Having a GREAT time - wish you were here :)

Ah the one weekend we are NOT in Sacramento visiting the kiddos.

If we (responsible Fodorites) had know in advance, we'd have alerted the restaurant management! No dancing on the tables janisj! :)

Great gathering--good food and drink and good conversation all around the table. You Sac folks sure know how to party! Reporting that Janis did not dance on the table (at least while I was there). This was sort of a last minute GTG, so don't feel left out if you didn't get the word.

Really? All of you seem like long time posters- enough to know we would not look for a gtg in a random restaurant thread.

Seriously - you either post or you don't. This is why I spend most of my time on flyertalk and not here. On FT a gtg is open to all or none.

No one excluded you or anyone else. Fodors GTGs range from big formal groups planned for months to one or two folks who just happen to be visiting the same city at the same times. There are no 'rules'.

If anyone was being 'secretive' they wouldn't have posted on the forums at all. This was not a pre-planned GTG - Betsy was in town for work and asked about restaurants. Some of us arranged to meet up. Some of them contacted other Fodorites they happen to know. Honest - it wasn't some super secret plot to omit anyone.

We obviously disagree. Bragging to say hello from a GTG to which no one except a select few ware invited is rude.

It's all rather like talking about a party with someone who wasn't invited--a bit rude.
