Help with priceline

I purchased a 4 night hotel stay with priceline for a stay in New Orleans. I was wondering if New Orleans gets hit with this hurricane like they are predicting what do I do about my reservations. I know they say there is no refunds but If I can go there due to storm damage can I demand my money back. I wont be going for 2 months but from what I have been hearing and what the governor said that it could take many, many months to get it ready for tourist. This is my first time using priceline and I would appreciate some help. Thank you. God bless those people in New Orleans.

Seems a little early to worry about that. But you can start emailing Priceline tomorrow...

Thank you for the advice. I am planning on contacting priceline also. I just wanted to be prepare if Priceline tries to battle me over this.

I know it is a little early to worry about it but I need to think ahead of time. It took my husband and I all year to save for this trip and if I need to change locations then I will need to change airline tickets and I know they will charge me a change of ticket fee and whatever the tickets price difference is and I know there will be a price difference because we got a good price on our New Orleans tickets. That means we will have to come up with more money and we need to budget for that.

I hope the people in New Orleans make it through the storm ok and no lives are lost. They are in my prayers.

Well after watching all of the devistation in NO I cant believe Pricline will not refund my money for my hotel stay. They said that it is up to the hotel to decide if they will refund my money. The hotel has announce to Priceline that they are optimistic and think they will be up and running byt he time my trip is scheduled. Are they crazy. The last thing NO need is for tourist to be visitng there anytime in the next 2-3 months. They are trying to rebuild there homes and lives and I think the hotels are towards the bottoms of the list. In a few weeks if this is not resolved then I am going to contact my credit card company. I dont think it is acceptable to take people's money and then not provide and service and know that they will not be providing a service for a long time and not refund the money. I pray for the people in NO.

There is a thread about this at biddingfortravel.com,

People are already getting refunds, if the city is still uninhabitable by your visit (looks that way so sadly) I am confident your $$ will be returned.
